The Bank Corner, strictly speaking , is the corner of Main Street and Broadway in the Village of Haverstraw. For many years it was the center of life in this small town on the West Bank of the Hudson River. Just down the street from this Bank corner was the local newspaper, owned by the McCabe family. In it’s weekly printing,  on the left side  both above and below the fold was The Bank Corner. Both a little of this and a little of that, the column usually brought people up to speed on what was going on around town. My hope with this blog is to find interesting stories of Haverstraw from around the webs and bring them here, so people can read and see some other points of view. I hope you find it interesting.
